Paul McShane

Irish defender Paul McShane began his career at Manchester United and played for the Republic of Ireland's under-19 side as well as being named in United's Champions League squad for 2004/05.

After loan spells at Walsall and Brighton, he joined West Bromwich Albion in 2006 and soon became a popular player with the fans. He also won his first international cap in September 2006.

In July 2007 he left the Baggies to join newly-promoted Sunderland.
