Liam Miller

Liam Miller signed for Sunderland in August 2006 on a three-year deal.

The midfielder began his career with Celtic in 1997, but struggled to break through into regular first-team football.

He therefore moved on in 2004 and joined Manchester United, where he played only 22 games in two years.

Miller spent the latter half of the 2005/06 season on loan at Leeds United and left Old Trafford for Sunderland at the end of that season.

In his first season with the Black Cats, he played 30 games and scored two goals, and his top-flight experience could prove vital in 2007/08.
