Craig Gordon signed for Sunderland from Hearts in August 2007 for a fee of £7million.

Gordon had been with Hearts since the year 2000, and built a reputation as one of the best keepers in Scotland.

He continued this form in the Premier League in 2007/08, although he did make a handful of mistakes.

He is also Scotland number one.
