Steve Simonsen

Steve Simonsen began his professional career with Tranmere Rovers in 1996.

Two years and 35 appearances later, he moved on to Everton, but struggled to find a way into the Goodison Park first eleven, despite spending five seasons there.

In 2004, he moved to Stoke City on a free transfer and has been first choice ever since.

In 2006/07, he set a Stoke record for the most amount of consecutive clean sheets (seven), and he will be hoping to continue this form in 08/09.
