Jose signs but leaves Hearts

Hearts have handed Jose Goncalves a new two-year contract before sending the Portuguese defender out on loan.

The 22-year-old has joined up with German second division side Nurnberg on a season-long loan basis.
Nurnberg also have the option to make the move permanent should he impress during his time at the Frankenstadion.
The left-back has made 47 appearances during two injury-hit seasons at Tynecastle.
He joined Hearts from Lithuanian side Kaunas in a £700,000 deal in 2006.
