Reading signed promising Australian midfielder Oliver Bozanic on a two-and-a-half year contract in January 2007.

The 18-year-old had been playing for A-League side Central Coast Mariners, having initially had a trial with Reading a couple of years earlier.

Director of football Nick Hammond told the club's official website: "We're very pleased to have signed Oliver.

"He is a really gifted left-footed player, an Australian youth international and he's already spent a large amount of time with us in the last couple of years.

"We've been trying hard to identify really talented young players, both on our doorstep and abroad, because there are good opportunities and value for money."
