Reading completed the signing of talented midfielder Kalifa Cisse in May 2007.

The 22-year-old French midfielder arrived at the Madejski Stadium from Portuguese side Boavista and became Steve Coppell's first major signing of the summer for a fee of £1million.

"Kalifa is a 6ft 2in central midfielder who has also played in defence," Reading director of football Nicky Hammond said. "He has real athletic ability and the technical attributes that should be well-suited to the Premiership."
