Brynjar Gunnarsson moved to Reading from Watford for an undisclosed fee in the summer of 2005.
He begun his career at an early age, playing for Swedish side Orgryte before being snapped up by Stoke City for £600,000 in 1999.
He spent four years at the Britannia Stadium, making over 150 appearances, before moving onto Nottingham Forest on a free transfer in 2003.
However, he did not impress at the City Ground nd was loaned back to Stoke just months later before Watford saved him in the summer of 2004, taking advantage of another Bosman move.
He went onto become a regular in Roy Lewington's side, but only stayed with the Hornets for one season before Steve Coppell signed him in the summer of 2005 as a replacement for the injured Steve Sidwell.
He impressed in his first season for the club and continued this fine form in 2006/07 as he played nearly 30 games.
