Goal One

CHARLIE ADAM v VfB STUTTGART
September 19th, 2007

This goal is largely remembered for Alan Hutton's lung-bursting run, with which he surged from the right touchline past four Stuttgart players and got the ball to Adam on the edge of the penalty area. The midfielder still had much to do, though, and after dropping his shoulder and stepping inside his man, he curled home superbly from 15 yards.

When Cousin and Naismith's flicks put Ferguson in on goal, he still had much to do against Gretna's Tony Caig.
