Noe Pamarot

Noe Pamarot finally got his wish to join the Premiership when he signed for Spurs in August 2004.

The former Nice defender signed a four-year deal when he arrived at White Hart Lane in a £1.7million deal. Pamarot made no secret of his desire to leave the Ligue 1 side, anxious for another try in the Premiership.

The tough tackler had a disappointing loan spell with Portsmouth back in the 1999/00 season, and made only three appearances but picked up two yellow cards.

Tottenham Sporting Director Frank Arnesen said: "He’s very quick and strong, a powerful defender who is also extremely comfortable on the ball. Noe’s made his mark at the highest level in French football over the past five years and he’s going to be a major asset as a Spurs player."

Although yet to be capped by France, he has been included in the senior squad.

His first season at White Hart Lane was scuppered slightly by injury. Although he made 28 appearances and scored twice - against Everton and Nottingham Forest - the latter part of the campaign was ruined after he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

Because of this he couldn't break back into the Portsmouth first team in 05/06, playing only ten times.

He found more success in the 2006/07 season though and he is a useful utility player for Harry Redknapp's side.
