The 18-year-old, who can play on either flank, has made one appearance for the Rams first team and will gain valuable experience during his time at Meadow Lane.

Magpies boss Ian McParland told the Evening Post: "He is a young lad, very fit and very athletic and we have got him for three months to see how he goes.

"It is a great chance for him to get involved with the squad and get involved in first-team football."

Beardsley's only outing for Derby came in Carling Cup second round tie with Blackpool last August.
