The midfield pair are expected to be ready for the beginning of the League Two campaign, but will face a race to be fit to feature.

Daggers boss John Still told the Barking and Dagenham Post: "Danny is going to have a small operation on his groin to correct a problem from last season, that should take about two weeks for him to be back.

"Shane has a similar problem, and I think he will also be two weeks.

"Although they will do some catch-up work with the physios, I think they will be back fairly soon."
