Richard Garcia is an experienced Australian striker who will be looking to make his mark on the Premier League in 2008/09.

His English career began at West Ham in 1999, but despite a five years stay at Upton Park, he managed just a handful of appearances.

In 2004, he moved on to Colchester, and it was with the U's that he made his name as he scored 16 goals in 82 appearances.

This solid form attracted the interest of Hull, who signed him on a free transfer under the Bosman ruling in 2007.

Despite a shoulder injury late in the 2007/08 campaign, Garcia played a vital role in Hull's promotion to the Premier League and he continued to be an influential figure in 2008/09.
