Guinean defender Kamil Zayatte began his career with French club Lens, but struggled to make the breakthrough there and moved on to Swiss side Young Boys. After just one season in Berne, he joined Hull City on a season-long loan deal, having previously also trained with Newcastle United.
Zayatte enjoyed a solid season at the KC Stadium and signed a permanent deal in January 2009.
