Experienced defender and brother of Tottenham star Michael, Andy Dawson began his career at Nottingham Forest in 1996.
He spent three years at the City Ground, but moved on to Scunthorpe in 1999 following a successful loan period with the club.
He proved a shrewd acquisition as he became one of Scunny's most valued players in a four year stay.
In 2003, he joined Hull City and his fine performances helped the club make it to the Premier League at the end of the 2007/08 season.
He continued to be an influential presence in 2008/09 and is one of only four players to represent Hull across four divisions. Ian Ashbee, Boaz Myhill and Ryan France are the others.
