Steven Davis

Steven Davis is a hard-working midfielder who has come through the youth ranks at Aston Villa.

He was a member of the FA Youth Cup winning side in 2002 and signed professional terms with the club after impressing on the pre-season tour of Scandinavia ahead of the 2003/2004 campaign.

The 2004/05 season saw him burst into the first-team. He made his debut against Norwich in September before making 28 further appearances. He scored his first goal in Villa colours in April - the winner in a tense 3-2 win against Southampton.

Despite two good seasons in 05/06 and 06/07, Davis was unsatisfied with life at Villa Park and decided to move on to Fulham in July 2007.

He spent much of the 2007/08 season on loan at Rangers though, and made a big impression at Ibrox, so much so that they signed him in a permanent deal in August 2008.
