Charlie Adam

The son of Charlie Adam Snr, this central midfielder has quickly risen through the Rangers ranks to become one of the club's most valued players.

Adam made his first appearance for the club in a May 2004 SPL match against Dunfermline and then enjoyed prosperous loan periods at Ross County and St Mirren.

He returned to the Rangers team in the 2006/07 season and quickly became an important part of the set-up. Indeed, so impressive were his performance in this, his first full season as a Gers first-teamer, that he was voted the club's Young Player of the Year.

He continued this fine form in 2007/08, and at the end of that campaign was rewarded with a new five-year deal which will keep him at Ibrox until 2012.
