Evander Sno

Dutchman Evander Sno signed for Celtic in 2006, from Feyenoord in his native Holland. At just 19, Sno was considered young to be leaving Dutch football, particularly as his chances at Feyenoord had been limited. However, his early performances for Celtic have hinted that their scouts have found a talented young player.

As product of the legendary Ajax system Sno brings sound technical ability to his natural game as a strong, athletic midfielder. He also has an asset highly-prized by managers; versatility and can play across the midfield or as a centre-back.

Sno had been seen as a long-term prospect but has seen plenty of first-team action in the 2006/07 season. That playing time saw him win his first call-up to the full Netherlands squad. Though his game is still developing, Gordon Strachan clearly has confidence in the youngster and sees him as part of the future at Celtic.
