Fulham signed Zoltan Gera from West Brom on a free transfer in June 2008.
Gera moved to The Hawthorns in 2004 after the Baggies agreed a £1.5million fee with Ferencvaros.
Gera had scored five times in 22 internationals at that point and won the Hungarian league and cup double with Ferencvaros in the previous campaign.
His first season with Albion was vastly different from that though as he had to fight off relegation - narrowly surviving the drop on the final day.
However, the campaign saw Gera become a vital part of the Baggies' midfield as he played 42 games and scored 6 goals.
It wasn't to last though, as an injury suffered in 2005/06 kept him out for a long stretch of that season.
Without Gera, the Baggies were relegated, but the player stayed with the club and was a crucial player in the following two seasons as the Baggies finally regained their Premier League spot at the end of the 2007/08 campaign.
Despite this success, he turned down a new contract at the Hawthornes, opting to move to Fulham. In his first season at Craven Cottage he scored two goals in 32 games, including the second in a memorable 2-0 win over Manchester United in March.
