Goalkeeper Pascal Zuberbuhler started his career at Grasshoppers in 1992. He stayed with the Swiss side until 1999, playing nearly 200 times in a hugely successful period with the club.
He then signed for FC Basel and again stayed for many years. A seven-year period saw him play 178 times, although he was loaned out to FC Aarau and Bayer Leverkusen between 2000 and 2001.
In 2006, he moved to England, joining West Bromwich Albion. However, his time in the Midlands was brief and unsuccessful as he played just fifteen games in his one season at the Hawthorns.
In 2007/08 he played 51 times for Neuchatel Xamax and this attracted the attention of Fulham who signed him on a one-year deal in August 2008 following an impressive trial with the club.
He made just one appearance in his first season at the club - in a Carling Cup game - as he played back-up to Mark Schwarzer. But his professionalism earned him a one-year contract at the end of the campaign, meaning he will stay at Craven Cottage for the duration of the 2009/10 season.
