Fulham striker Erik Nevland is delighted to have hit form at just the right time, as the Cottagers battle to preserve their Premier League status.
The 30-year-old one-time Manchester United frontman struggled to make his mark initially after joining from Groningen, but Nevland has recently struck crucial goals in 2-0 wins over Reading and Birmingham City.
He told the club's official website: "If scoring against Birmingham gives us a chance of staying up it would probably be the highlight of my career.
"I didn't come to Fulham to play in the Championship, so if I can contribute to us staying up then it would be brilliant.
"This is what I came for and I just want to contribute to keeping Fulham up and I'm doing that at the moment.
"I had a bad period in March when I didn't do well and that's frustrating for a player. I just had to keep working hard and now I've got my rewards."
