Check out the latest transfer rumours
After Jill Scott's extra time winner for England over the Netherlands in the semi-finals of the UEFA Women's European Championships, we got thinking of other dramatic late goals that have decided the biggest of big games. From European Cup and FA Cup finals to league deciders, we've chosen five of the best late goals from the past decade or so...

Five of the Best Late Goals

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Manchester United 2-1 Bayern Munich, 1999

Perhaps the most dramatic end to a match in living memory came at the Nou Camp in 1999, when Manchester United came from behind to defeat Bayern Munich 2-1 in the final of the Champions League. After falling behind to Mario Basler's early goal, United entered injury time still behind. Teddy Sheringham steered home an equaliser, and then just minutes later Ole Gunnar Solskjaer stuck out a foot to steer the ball home and seal a historic treble for the Reds.

Sylvain Wiltord, France 2-1 Italy, 2000

World Cup winners France broke Italian hearts in the Euro 2000 final as they snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. Italy had taken a 55th minute lead through Marco Delvecchio, and they looked like holding out against the French onslaught. But substitute Sylvain Wiltord found some space in the box and managed to squeeze his shot past Italian keeper Francesco Toldo to take the game in to extra time. David Trezeguet won the tournament for the French with a golden goal on the stroke of half time in extra time.

Stan Collymore, Liverpool 4-3 Newcastle, 1996

In what has been dubbed as the greatest match in Premier League history, title hunting Newcastle travelled to Anfield hoping to keep their table-topping dreams alive. In a gripping contest, Collymore levelled things up on the hour mark at 3-3, and in injury he thundered a John Barnes pass past Pavel Srnicek in the Newcastle goal to seal a memorable win, and all but end Newcastle's hopes of silverware for another season.

Dennis Bergkamp, Holland 2-1 Argentina, 1998

Some fans believed it should have been England playing in this World Cup quarter final, and with much of the nation cheering on the Dutch against England's arch nemesis, Argentina, the game was heading to extra time after a closely fought 1-1 draw. But with 60 seconds remaining, Bergkamp scored one of the greatest goals in World Cup history, controlling a cross field ball by Frank de Boer and beating Roberto Ayala before majestically guiding the ball round keeper Carlos Roa with the outside of his right boot.

Steven Gerrard, Liverpool 3-3 West Ham, 2006

West Ham came within minutes of providing an upset in the 2006 FA Cup Final in what is regarded as one of the best cup finals of all time. West Ham took a two goal lead thanks to a Jamie Carragher own goal and a strike from Dean Ashton, but Liverpool pulled the deficit back through Djibril Cisse and Steven Gerrard. Paul Konchesky then edged the Hammers in front on 64 minutes, and they looked like holding on. They cleared the ball from a corner but it landed at the feet of a fatigued Gerrard who lashed home an equaliser. Liverpool went on to win the game 3-1 on penalties.
