Victor Anichebe

Born in Nigeria and now based in Crosby, this promising striker progressed through the Everton youth academy and spent much of the 2005/06 season in the reserve team.

He did, however, make three first team appearances for David Moyes' men, against Chelsea in the FA Cup and Birmingham and West Brom in the league, the latter of whom he scored his first goal for the club against.

He added a further four goals in seven starts in 2006/07, and continued his development in 2007/08. He struggled for first-team football in 2008/09 and was linked with a move away from the club in the January transfer window.
