Stefan Wessels

German goalkeeper Stefan Wessels started out as a promising youngster at Bayern Munich before moving on to Cologne in 2003 in a bid to find first team football. He found it there, but also endured a frustrating time at a club who yo-yoed between divisions with great regularity. In August 2007 he left Germany and joined Everton on a free transfer.
