Iain Turner

Turner signed for Everton in a £50,000 deal in January 2003. The Toffees beat off competition from Tottenham and Charlton after impressing for his local side, Scottish Division Three side Sterling Albion.

Iain is progressing through the international ranks with Scotland, having been capped at Under-16, Under-18 and Under-21 level.

He made his Everton debut in a pre-season friendly with Bologna in August 2003, before spending the 2003/04 season on loan with Chester City. He is definitely one for the future and is considered to be an Everton goalkeeper of the future.

In March 2005 he moved on loan to Doncaster Rovers until the end of the season. He will hope to get his chance to challenge for a first team place now that Nigel Martyn has retired.
