Michael Mancienne

Michael Mancienne was picked up by Chelsea as an eight year old and has gone on to captain his country at Under-18 level.

A composed and reliable centre-back who can also fill-in in midfield or at right back, he made his debut for the reserves while he was still at school.

He was loaned out to Wolves for the 2008/09 season, and it was his fine form for the Championship side that inspired Fabio Capello to call him up to the England squad for a friendly against Germany in November 2008.
