Claudio Pizarro
Position: Forward
Height: 6'0
Weight: 12st 6lbs
Date of Birth: 1978-10-03 Lima, Peru

Peruvian striker Claudio Pizarro was born in Lima in 1978 and his first club were local side Deportivo Pesquero, for whom he played until 1997. He rose to prominence playing for Alianza Lima, helping them to the title before being snapped up two years later by German club Werder Bremen.
29 goals in 56 games for Bremen thrust Pizarro into the European football spotlight and after two seasons German giants Bayern Munich bought him. He scored on his debut for Bayern and went on to be an important player for them, although by the 2006/07 campaign he had been sidelined by the likes of Lucas Podolski.
His contract ran out at the end of the season and a pay dispute with the club led to no new deal being agreed, so he joined Chelsea in June 2007 on a free transfer.
