The agent of Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has claimed that one of Europe's top clubs is ready to launch a massive offer to sign the Czech Republic ace.
Cech, 26, has been an outstanding success at Stamford Bridge since his arrival from Rennes in the summer of 2004, despite suffering a number of nasty injuries in recent times.
His representative, Pavel Zika, told the Pravo newspaper; "I know a big European club which would be willing to pay 40million euros.
"A few weeks ago a club director in charge of those kinds of matters told me of the interest.
"It is an unbelievable sum for a goalkeeper. I cannot name the club. They would have problems, as even such an inquiry could be understood as a breach of rules.
"Some of the top ten European clubs have been phoning our agency, but I will not say which ones they are. Also their offers have been around 40million euros."
