Seasiders snap up Martin

Blackpool have clinched the permanent signing of Tottenham Hotspur youngster Joe Martin, who had a brief spell on loan at Bloomfield Road last season.

The 19-year-old has agreed a two-year contract with the Seasiders after rejecting the offer of a new deal at White Hart Lane.

Martin told Blackpool's official website: "It wasn't really a difficult decision to make.

"It was always going to be hard to get into the first team at Tottenham, but hopefully coming to Blackpool will give me an opportunity to play first-team football at a good club.

"It was a bit of a no-brainer for me."
