Carling Cup Final 2008 - Your View on Tottenham 2-1 Chelsea

Congratulations Tottenham Hotspur! After a pulsating Carling Cup Final at Wembley, it was the team from North London that finished victorious after an extra-time winner from new signing Jonathan Woodgate, earning Spurs their first major trophy in nine years.

It all looked to be going wrong for Juande Ramos' men after Didier Drogba's whipped free-kick deceived Paul Robinson but Tottenham's endeavour was finally rewarded when Dimitar Berbatov stroked home a 70th-minute penalty.

as a newcastle fan and the rest of my family r chelsea fans i am glad spurs won, they deserved it aswel they diddn't drop there heads wen they went 1-0 dwn they carried on playing there football and were rewarded with a penalty and berbatov converted it and then in extra time they had a bit of luck but it does't matter they deserved to win and WELL DONE SPURS

I was a Spurs supporter for the day and I am thrilled that they beat that team from West London. Now of course they need to return to their rightful place in the 'pecking order' as far as London teams go. I wish them luck in the Uefa Cup though.

After 9 years of waiting Tottenham Hotspur football club lifted the trophy after beating Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea and were the deserved winners of the trophy. Chelsea simply did not turn up until the final 15 minutes of extra time and in reality Spurs deserved their win (hurts me to say that!). Hopefully the blues will learn from this loss and the manager will also learn how to pick his team when all are available - so far the team has picked itself according to who has been available - Avram the hardest work starts now!!
