Since joining the Clarets from Bournemouth, Wade Elliott has established himself as a genuine fans' favourite. Quick, skilful and creative, Elliott capped another stand out season with the winning goal against Sheffield United in the Play-off Final.

His rise to prominence was somewhat belated, as he only made the step from Non-League football when in his early twenties, joining AFC Bournemouth. His consistently impressive displays for the Cherries saw him named as their Player of the Year for the 5 successive seasons that he spent at Dean Court.

He eventually signed for Burnley in the Summer of 2005 and had an instant impact on the Clarets, quickly winning over the fans with his eye-catching displays.

Elliott has been named Player of the Season for the past two seasons, and he will relish the chance to show his skills on the big stage.
