Michael Duff's star was on the rise when a serious ligament injury stunted his progress. Such was his impact prior to this setback that he came close to claiming the fans' Player of the Year Award in 2006/7, marginally losing out to Wade Elliott.

Returning to the side in 2008/09, the Ulsterman played a respectable number of games, and showed signs of his previous form.

Capable of performing across the back four and in midfield, the Northern Ireland international's versatility will be an extremely useful tool over the course of a long, rigorous Premier League campaign.
