Christian Kalvenes

After a career spent in the Norwegian league, Christian Kalvenes made a belated switch to SPL side Dundee United in 2006. A rough and ready left back, the Norwegian proved to be a big success at Tannadice, scoring at Ibrox on his debut and being named in the SPL team of the season.

An eventual return to the relative comfort of Norway was anticipated, only for the defender to make a surprise move to Turf Moor in the summer of 2008. The player did well in his first season and will look to consolidate his position in the Premier League.
