Johan Elmander

Bolton Wanderers wrapped up the signing of Sweden striker Johan Elmander from French club Toulouse in June 2008.

The 27-year-old signed a three-year contract with the Trotters, moving to England for an undisclosed fee.

Prior to signing, Elmander featured in all three of his country's games at Euro 2008, having also been part of the Sweden squad for the 2006 World Cup finals in Germany.

However, he failed to live up to his promise in the 2008/09 season, scoring just five goals in 27 starts.
