Daniel Braaten

Daniel Braaten signed for Bolton Wanderers from Rosenborg for a fee believed to be in the region of £450,000.

He began his career with Norwegian First Division side Skeid in the year 2000 and went on to score 22 times in over 100 appearances.

Such fine form attracted the interest of a host of clubs from across Europe, including French side Lens.

However, he decided to stay in his native land and in 2004 joined high-fliers Rosenborg for £2.5million.

Spending three years with Rosenborg, Braaten quickly became known for his physical strength and superb technical skill.

It was no surprise then when the English Premier League came knocking in 2007 as he joined Bolton Wanderers in the summer of that year.

He made an immediate impact, scoring the final goal in a 3-0 win over Reading in September, and will be hoping to continue such form in the rest of the 2007/08 season.
