Sergio Peter is a young and promising prospect for Blackburn's future. The German midfielder was awarded with a squad number in September 2004, proving he is firmly a part of Mark Hughes' plans.

Serious injury hampered his progress through the 2004/05 season, but a loan move to Belgian side Cercle Brugge during the latter half of that campaign proved he has the fighting spirit the Barclays Premiership dictates.

He played ten times for Rovers in the 05/06 campaign, but this was reduced to just two starts in 06/07. He remains a utility player for Mark Hughes' men.
