Jason Brown

Wales goalkeeper Jason Brown joined Blackburn Rovers in June 2006 following the expiry of his contract with Gillingham.

The 24-year-old had spent the past five years with the Gills following his departure from Charlton Athletic.

In the 2006/07 season, Brown made his debut for Blackburn as he came off the substitutes bench in a match against Wigan. He saved a penalty in a 2-1 win for Rovers.

With Brad Friedel in such fine form in 2007/08, Brown couldn't find a way into the team. Friedel left in the summer of 2008, but was replaced by Paul Robinson, meaning Brown is still very much second choice.
