Bruno Berner

Blackburn Rovers signed Switzerland defender Bruno Berner from FC Basel in January 2007. The 29-year-old left-back moved to Ewood Park for a small, undisclosed fee after impressing while on trial with Rovers.

Former Grasshoppers Zurich and Freiburg defender Berner signed an initial 18-month deal with Blackburn, with an option for a further year if he impresses.

He made only two starts for Blackburn in his first few months at the club and will be hoping to force his way into Mark Hughes' thoughts in 07/08.
