He has captained his country at various levels and made the breathrough into the Under-21 side, appearing for England in their friendly clash with Yugoslavia.
His progress had been interrupted by injuries but he is now back to full fitness and will be hoping to make an impact on the Premiership in the forthcoming seasons.
Parnaby can play either at full-back, in the centre of defence or in midfield.
He was awarded the Third Division Player of the Month award during a two month loan spell with Halifax Town.
Was a member of the England Under-20 squad which failed to concede a goal in four games but was beaten on penalties by Japan in a third/fourth place play-off game in the Toulon tournament in France in May 2002.
He made his breakthrough into the first team in 2002/03, making over 20 appearances, and there could have been more but for a hamstring tear in March 2003.
Parnaby continued to impress during a handful of appearances during the following season.
However, the 2004/05 season was ruined by a broken leg which kept him out from October to February.
He made 24 appearances and added a further 42 in 2005/06, scoring three goals along the way.
However, he found his chances limited in 2006/07 and in June 2007 moved to newly-promoted Birmingham City on a free transfer.
