Sebastian Larsson

A regular member of the Arsenal Under-19 team in 2003/04, Sebastian Larsson occasionally lined up for the reserves in 2004/05.

A Swedish Youth International, the talented midfielder scored twice in 2003/04, and played in the first team's pre-season friendly against Barnet.

Larsson played three times in the Carling Cup during 2004/05 and made a further nine appearances in the 05/06 season.

In August 2006 he moved to Birmingham on a season-long loan and the switch proved to be the making of him.

Larsson made over 40 appearances for the Blues in the 2006/07 season and scored a number of vital goals which were a big factor in their promotion.

In January 2007, the move was made permanent and Larsson continued his impressive form for the club in the top flight.

He was the club's standout player, earning the Player of the Season and Goal of the Season awards, and was one of the few players to enhance his reputation as the club lost its' fight against relegation.

He remained at St Andrews in 2008/09 and, once more, impressed, making 39 appearances in all competitions, scoring 2 goals.

Larsson will be hoping that his own superb form continues in to the 2009/10 and that it will inspire his side to Premier League survival.
