Striker Cameron Jerome is one of Birmingham City's most promising players.
He began his career with home town club Westend Juniors before moving on to Huddersfield Town as a junior.
His first professional contract came with Middlesbrough, but he didn't make even one appearance for the Riverside club before being released.
In 2004, he signed for Cardiff City, where he proved a massive success, scoring 24 goals in over 70 appearances.
Such fine form attracted the attentions of Birmingham City and he signed with Steve Bruce's side in May 2006.
9 goals during the 2006/07 season was a good start for the striker and he promised much going in to the club's return top the top flight.
He topped the club's scoring charts for the 2007/08 season but even his goals could not save the club from relegation and many believed his impressive form would earn him a move to an established Premier League club.
However Jerome opted to stay in an attempt to fire the club back to the top flight at the first attempt and his 10 goals have played a big part in doing so.
Jerome has already proven that he can score in the top flight and his form will play a big part as to whether the Blues are successful in their survival attempt during the 2009/10 season.
