Gabriel Agbonlahor

Promising young striker Gabriel Agbonlahor was awarded a new two-year contract at the end of the 2004/05 season and was loaned out to Watford and then Sheffield Wednesday early in the next campaign for some first team experience.

He made his debut for Villa in March 2006 in a 4-1 thrashing by Everton, scoring the only goal for David O'Leary's side.

The 2006/07 season proved to be his break out year though with Martin O'Neill looking towards the club's up and coming young stars. Agbonlahor scored ten goals in 41 games and will hope for more of the same in the 06/07 campaign.
