Craig Gardner

Craig Gardner was given his first-team break over the Christmas period of 2005 with the club suffering through a mini injury crisis.

He made his debut in the final minutes of the Boxing Day clash aginst Everton and then came off the bench once more a week later against West Brom.

He has since became a regular Villa utility man, scoring twice in 11 games in 06/07, and he continued his development in 2007/08.

In September 2008, he signed a new four-year deal at the club, meaning he will be a Villa player until at least 2012.
