Brad Guzan

American goalkeeper Brad Guzan began his career in 2003, when he played for US youth side South Carolina Gamecocks. A stay with Chicago Fire Premier came in that same season, but it was at Chivas USA that the stopper played his first professional games.

In three years at Chivas he made a name for himself, quickly becoming one of the most accomplished young keepers in the MLS. It was therefore no surprise when the English Premier League came knocking, and he signed for Aston Villa in July 2008, for a fee believed to be in the region of £600,000.

He is currently number two to Brad Friedel and made a handful of appearances in his first season at Villa Park.
