Samir Nasri

Samir Nasri grew up in Marseille, joining his local club as a youngster and soon rising through the youth ranks to make his debut in 2004 as an attacking midfielder.

2006/07 was a breakthrough season for him, being voted as Marseille's Player Of The Year and the Ligue 1 Young Player Of The Year, and his reputation grew even more in the following campaign.

In July 2008, Nasri signed for Arsenal for an undisclosed fee, having impressed for France at Euro 2008.

His first season at the Emirates proved a success and he will be looking to improve upon it still further in 2009/10.
