The 23-year-old has impressed Addicks boss Alan Curbishley despite failing to find the net in four appearances for the club.
Steve Coppell said of Lita's temporary move to The Valley earlier this month: "Leroy has understandably been frustrated at his lack of first-team action recently.
"This loan move will be a perfect way for him to retain match sharpness at the highest level of Championship competition."
Lita has netted just once for Reading in 15 appearances this season, with his solitary strike coming against Swansea City in the Carling Cup in late August.
In total, the frontman has scored 30 goals in 86 outings for the Royals since joining the Berkshire club from Bristol City in the summer of 2005.
