How has 'The Carling Local' changed for 2011?
Carling understands that British music festivals can make you work hard at times, so this year we’ll be doing our utmost to make your festival that little bit easier by creating our version of the perfect pint experience at The Local. We’ll be serving the perfect festival pint at The Local - ice-cold Carling from rigid plastic glasses enjoyed on comfortable seating both inside and out. Our kitchen will serve up some quality British bites throughout the day, whether kick-starting your morning, or to enjoy as you bask in the midday sun. This year we’re also putting you in control of the music. You can choose what goes into the slots of our ‘People’s Jukebox’ to play out at The Local. Simply join us on Facebook by liking the Carling page for more info on how you can get your favourite tunes played! We also have the perfect way to remember the festival by grabbing a photo with you and your mates on the main stage with our 'You Rock' green scene photobooth. And whether the heavens open, or the sun is blazing down we'll be on hand to see you through with ponchos and sun cream on the house.
What festivals will The Carling Local be at?
The Carling Local will be at the Isle of Wight Festival 10-12 June, and V Festival (Chelmsford and Stafford) 20-21 August.
The Carling Local is a fully functioning pub experience at some of the country's best music festivals. As this is Carling’s version of the perfect local, it means good food, music, and entertainment, and of course great beer!
What’s happened to the Cold Beer Amnesty?
After six years The Cold Beer Amnesty will be taking a break in 2011. However we will be continuing to deliver the perfect pint experience for you to soak up the festival atmosphere. With great deals on food, top quality ice cold pints, and some awesome Carling entertainment, make sure you head over to the Local to be part of it.
Where else would you want your local to be but right next to your tent? Hosting The Carling Local in the campsite means that we’ll be readily accessible for a late night drink and a spot of entertainment.
Will there be any entertainment at The Carling Local?
You bet. The Carling Local will have DJs throughout the weekend and in to the night, with an exclusive headphone disco late at V Festival only.
