Easily the most contemporary venue in Airdrie, The Glasshaus is an upmarket food-led bar that would sit happily among Glasgow's finest. As you might expect glass (floor to ceiling), wood and chrome dominate right down to the visualy striking elevated walkway. Flooded with daylight, the stylish surroundings appeal to the upmarket crowd in Airdrie who don't make the trip through to Glasgow. Downstairs the menu has a distinct Italian feel, but upstairs in the restaurant it is an exclusive affair with options such as chargrilled duck with truffle oil and rosemary, and incredible prices to match.
