The Red Lion is a popular traditional pub in Blackwood and the majority of customers are lower income locals aged under 35. The venue becomes livelier over the weekend when flashing disco lights add to the atmosphere, attracting younger socialisers from around the town. The rest of the decor is simple and traditional in style, with plenty of wooden fixtures and fittings, and a selection of typical pub style main meals is on offer during the day which are of good quality and value.
