Bar Description
The Royal Oak is a very traditional pub set in the market square with an excellent beer garden to the rear which becomes packed in warmer weather. Internally, the pub is a modest size, part of which dates back to the 17th century. It has a wooden floor with exposed brick pillars supporting the low ceiling. It also has its own ghost which the landlord has seen as well as other visitors! It is a very relaxing venue with comfortable seating and secluded recesses and an open area to the front where the pool table is situated.
